After myriad attempts at describing what could be said to be the indescribable...in fever dream, shamanic vision and even childhood daydreams, there can be found a primary creative motivation... and recollection back to periods in life as early as the age of two have prompted a consuming attempt on my part to manifest these dreamings in any way as can be imagined....lyric, mantric, mandalic...and eventually through the medium of video.... Having made endeavors into and continuing to elaborate on the first three of those expressions by taking oracular dives into this as yet inexpressible, certain accounts of others have been found which seem to echo this curiosity....Kant referred to it as the noumenon: an unknowable subtle structure underneath/behind the world of appearances which is nevertheless the very seed network of all phenomena,responsible for the manner in which an experience conveys "itself" to thought....Buddhism seem to refer to something similar in the reference to a "dharmadatu"...the indigenous cultures world-wide have referred to it variously as the World Tree Axis, the Crystal Mind of the Planet, the Skeleton of the World....whatever it is...it is definitely here/there, and it can be subjectively experienced as a place you go to...and as one such navigator its become a preoccupation to layout some of the architecture and possibly the operation of this inner/other world that has such a subtle influence on the outer world of appearances/experiences.

This place spoken of (to which I may be incorrectly attributing the use of others terminology) is, in my experience, an organized network of tonal nodes... each node a cluster of simultaneous specific data - like myriad crystalline facets each node having its own hue, event/mood, voice, type of terrain/texture,cultural/historical milieu, and of course...a number...but the numbers are connected in a way that seems to defy our base concept of quantitive structure (although the simple network of multiples did feel very similar) this engendering a curiousity about other ways of representing numeric units and their networking....

The ancient Chinese I Ching would eventually provide the platform for making the connections needed but it would take twelve years before completing the form that intuition insisted had to be hiding behind what is otherwise arbitrated in the common King Wen sequence of existing I Ching literature. Learning more of its history, it became apparent that both Shao Yung and Gottfried Leibniz had both come remarkably close to having discovered this arrangement centuries before but they did not follow though in their work to extend what seemed to be merely a linear sequence into a bifurcative one.

Now that the complete structural rules of what could be called an "enantiamorph" are represented (with adjustments still pending at the level of the hexagrams and other possible spherical arrangements on the horizon) all that remains is to extend the work from the binary into the ternary....and once all skeletal arrangements are accounted for within an acceptable scalar range, a correlating of each node with specific tonal meanings and event moods is called for...perhaps going so far as showing how these periodicities are demonstrated in nature through various other long since established natural periodic systems.

Realizing the progression of this inquiry as being unique to the present body of human knowledge does not discount the possibility of these arrangements having been known of in the remote past. In fact representations like the Chinese talismanic Shou and the Buddhist srivatsa give me the distict impression that mandalas of this nature flourished at one time but are presently lost to historical record due to such arrogance as the Chin Dynasty Burning Of The Books and any other similiar instances of ignorance taken to extremist levels....perhaps we will someday be rewarded by another monumental unearthing in the spirit of the Tibetan "termas" not unlike the Ma Wang Dui excavation...in which a trail of "noumenal" investigations leading back as far as the mythical Nagas might become recognized. But until then whatever time travelling we do seems to rest in the balance of human intuition, dreaming, and analysis.
